Microbiology and Biotechnology Research Laboratory

Microbiology is a filed having impact on a wide area including production of bread, yogurt, cheese, antibiotics, vitamins, alcohol, enzyme and several other chemicals by microorganisms, evaluation of waste materials, proposing solution to environmental pollution and providing benefits in the areas of health and pharmaceuticals.

Analyses, products and training services are provided to other universities, private institutions and industry by our laboratory following recent developments.

 Study subjects:

• Antimicrobial studies

• Inhibitor effects of desired substance being searched on microorganisms.

Microbial analysis studies

• Microorganisms and/or pathogens are determined in food, water, cosmetics products so on.

Industrial microbiology studies

• Isolation of starter microorganisms, identification of efficient strains, and expression of the enzymes and microbial metabolites.

• Environmental microbiology studies

• Biological removal of hazardous waste, bioethanol and bioplastics synthesis.

• Culture Maintenance and creating culture collection

• Quality of the cultures of micro-organisms is stored in appropriate conditions and microorganisms are available to researchers who need.
